Where can I buy miniature clip frames smaller than 5"x5"?
I have seen artists selling their miniature works in tiny clip frames (glass and backing sandwich the art held by silver clips). I want to buy some square frames but need them smaller than 5x5. I would be happy with glass or plastic and would also be interested if anyone knows at least where to buy the clips seperately. I have looked everywhere, I hope someone has seen these!
The smallest clip frame I've seen is 4X6".
You could always buy a whack of these, steal the clips & toss the frames, then have the glass & masonite cut to size, but you'd need to cut the little bevel into the masonite for the clip to fit into... not a very affordable solution when you can usually buy clip frames at Dollarama. Personally, I think they look as cheap as they cost.
Honestly... use a bigger frame. Small art looks spectacular in a larger frame with a lot of space around it - it also gives the perception of greater value (bigger = better).
