Master Cleanse - Does it have to be SEA salt? What about Himalayan Salt?
I start the master cleanse tomorrow morning. Finding specifically uniodized sea salt was difficult, but I did find Himalayan Salt. What it says is Natural crystalized salt, unrefined, without additives. Table salt. It is the highest quality natural salt available. It is rich in minerals and trace elements, is hand mined, selected, and hand washed and dried. It is 100% naturally pure, not bleached, refined and no chemicals added.
I think the point of the cleanse is to have the purest ingredients and this seemed good, but all I see anywhere when I look for info is SEA salt. Does it matter as loing as it's good pure stuff?
There doesn't appear to be a difference. If I remember my geology correctly, the top of the Himalayans were once sea level before they were pushed up into mountains. So it very well could still be a form of sea salt only purer. The only difference I have been able to find is that Himalayan salt is suppose to have 84 minerals where Sea Salt is suppose to have 80. I'm including both links to info, but the sea salt link, includes some of the same claims as the Himalayan salt and advertises Himalayan salt in such a way to make them appear pretty much the same.
