Whence came this? Anybody know? Around here they talk about a lucky penny.

Only problem is, the Brits quit making silver sixpence in 1947
From 1947 to 1967, the 6d were made of cheaper materials. Then they went to decimal coinage.
Denise, maybe this is yet another example of two peoples, separated by a common language, and maybe customs as well.
Any Canadians here?
