How do we make our metal snaps work a little easier on our pontoon boat cover?
You can spray them with W-D 40 or use silicate powder on them, which is more durable than spary lubricate would be. You can find it in any home improvement store in the locks and door knob sections. It is primarily used to keep commercial locks working smoothly without creating any buildup inside the mechanism. It comes in a container that will "puff" out the powder in metered amounts. I know I used this on the Sun Tarp we installed on out boat and it made it so much easier to put up and take down.
