SUSE Linux 10 HP 2133 Mini Note PC?
I have a SUSE Linux 10 HP 2133 Mini Note PC
I bought it back in August 2008 it worked okay for a couple of months but now I am having lots of problems.
My biggest problem is an error message that I keep getting that says
"Could not start the X server (your graphical environment)due to some internal error. Please contact your system administrator or check your syslog (dont know what that it)to diagnose. In the meantime this display will be disabled. Please restart gdm (dont know what that is either) when the problem is corrected."
I have been trying to fix this problem with no luck.Please help if you have a solution. Thank you.
the HP 2133 comes with ONE year warranty.
your best bet is definitely to call upon HP ans ask them to have a look;
even though the HP computer itself is not @ fault, they might look into it & fix it for a reasonable price. unless you saved your data to an external device (USD stick or disk) you will most likely loose all your data.
as an alternative, you can start SaX2 and select the Display setup;
you need to log in a ROOT to start up SaX2.
