2 days ago my dog nipped the paper girl while i was cleaning my car in the driveway. My front door was open because I needed an outlet to vacuum my car. The paper girl came to deliver the paper and my dog came outside. As she bent down to pet him he nipped her finger. This is the 1st time this has ever happened in the 8 years of my jack russell terrier "dino" being a part of my family. We have had him since he was a puppy and something like this is very out of the blue. My nieces who are 4 and 2 play with him on a daily basis and he has never acted aggressive towards them let alone nip at them. I immediately asked if she was okay and offered to treat her small cut being a first-aid attendant. She declined and left in a hurry. Her mother was on my door step 5 minutes later fuming about the entire situation. Before I could get a word in she said she would call the spca. I'm really worried this may get blown out of proportion. I would love some professional feedback.
