Is it getting close to that kind of weather?
You know, the kind of weather fit for spreading the flannel quilt out under the live oak, and sippin' sweet tea and gnawin' on cold fried chicken and listenin' to the Chet Atkins CD and blowin' bubbles, and kickin' off our shoes and spreading out for a nap?

Haven't found any oaks here in the desert and from what I remember of oaks from where I used to live they were always full of fleas and ticks. I used to try to keep my dogs away from them. I used to climb them as a kid and sit on the branches.
But it is definitely getting warmer. It was about 80 degrees today and was 85 a few days ago. I keep praying that it will stay under 100 for the rest of the year but it's not likely since it's usually about 120 in July as a rule and sometimes a tad higher in August. From now til June will be 80 -100 each day. It's nice tonight ... about 72.
It's going to be time to load up the 4x4, put in the picnic basket, get some Carlsberg Elephant Malt and take the dog to the river . This summer I would really be happy if I took myself to the beach too. SoCal beaches are nice.
