Does a white jacket/black pants tux match w/ a red vest/bow tie?
I want to wear the old-school white jacket/black pants tux u see in the old movies to my prom, but my date's dress is red, and im not sure if it would look good with a red vest and bow tie.
I used to sell and customize tuxedos. The tux you are talking about is a classic dinner jacket style. If you chose to wear red with it, do a bow tie only and a black cummerbund. Otherwise black tie and cummerbund and a red lapel flower such as a rosebud (very classy) or a carnation. If the jacket has a shawl collar, skip the vest all the way! Sounds like you are going to be adorable!
