how do i lace cross stitch?
i have done a project on fabric which was just enough to complete the design. How much of a turn over for hems do i need to lace the work onto a board. i did one previously and had only a half inch leeway so i did a close zigzag on the edges and laced it as shown but when i pulled it really tight the fabric ripped and i had to start again. should i sew on an extra inch or so of fabric as an extended border to give me something to latch onto or should i bind the edges with pvc tape which i have seen on u tube. normally i take my work to a shop to do it but this is a rush job and i haven't got the time for that so i have bought a frame to try and do it myelf. Any help and advice would be great thanks
