What is the correct way to put on a guitar strap?
I have a guitar that you have to clip the strap on to the bottom or the neck, by the body. (Not on the head of the guitar.) I have a levi suede strap with one thick side and the other thin side. Which side goes where?

Usually, most straps have some sort of means to regulate the length of the strap at one end of the strap. That end usually goes at the bottom.
If your strap has no adjustment (not very likely), then it really doesn't matter which end goes where.
Some types of these straps - which are thinner at one end - is also commonly used on some mandolins and accoustic guitars which have s strap button only at the bottom. Here, you will tie the strap to the headstock or the upper bout (on some mandolins).
