How can I make a home made quilt frame to use in making quilts?
I assume you're talking about a frame for hand quilting. Yes, they ARE still in use. Alex Anderson's father demonstrated how he made them on Simply Quilts (HGTV). The link below gives his instructions, with some photos. You can also purchase frames from Grace Frames for hand quilting - both lap and stand quilting. If you are into machine quilting, that's another story entirely. There are frames for it, but it isn't something you can easily build.
