Knitting: Could you wear your handmade garment inside out?
If you seam it carefully so that there are no welts on the reverse side, you could wear it on either side, depending on how it's patterned. I'm not sure I'd care to wear a cabled sweater, or one in Fair Isle or intarsia, inside out.
