What is a patriotic way to clean the American Flag?
During a recent windstorm our flag was blown off and landed on the ground. I've thought about putting it in the washing machine, but feel it deserves to special treatment.
The other option is not doing anything - leaving the dirt as a symbol - "our flag was still there".
I would just hang it back up. The first good rain will clean it anyway.
Traditionally, if a flag touches the ground, it is supposed to be destroyed.
