He chose himself to the store, and he is very attached to her (he is 5 and has since he was 2) I do not want to say to my child "you're a boy you must be a certain way, because society says, if you can only have "doll, know what I mean? I've never been one for stereotypes in givng how people should be, and my wife and I agreed not to impose gender stereotypes on our children (my daughter is obsessed with dinosaurs per minute than the ignorant is really weird too). Why must people be so narrow? A lady I know say "you can not make grandchildren of him "(which means it will turn gay, which is a stupid assumption, but I would not be disturbed if gay) It gets really on the nerves, which is the problem??? I prefer him to be happy than anything else, and if this toy is a comfort to him, so I hope that other people grow up and stop judging. peace

Dear Kelvin: You're right. It should not be a big deal, You Are great parents and to enable it to be itself. All children develop an attachment to a furry creature or doll as they grow. This is normal. He has the stuff to be a great dad, and is to learn compassion as he takes care of her doll. Only the United States these stereotypes and prejudices against men and women. Europe does not make these distinctions and people do not give a second thought. My son had a wind bear who played Mozart in his crib. Over the years, he took with him to stay for one night, and even when he went to university. Although now on the board in his office, he always makes. He is not gay, and has friends of both genders, gays and others. Tell him how proud you are of him when he shows compassion for his doll, and remind him that's what dads do.
