What is the best way to attach the Swarovski crystals on clothes?
Hey, What is the best way to set Swarovski crystals on clothes? Thank you
If you mean the classic flat back crystals, there are two options that I find best. The simple metal pin sets are easy to use, keep the crystals well, and when you're tired of the garment of the crystals can not be set, and then recycled on something new. The metal pin assemblies are placed on the wrong side of the garment, teeth pushed through the right side, the crystal at the center, and pins pushed onto the crystal to hold it in place. you can buy tools for bending the pins, or you can use the eraser of a pencil, pliers beak or a piece of a thimble, metal, anything that is cheaper and easier to use than a real crystal composer. Elements that use crystal pins set are machine washable if you turn the garment inside out. Silverbacks dish can also be glued with special glue jewel. In a career for me, I find the glue messy and time, but it is a good option if you only want a few crystals on a single point. There are also the new patch available crystals. These have a special heat activated adhesive on the back. They are applied to the garment with a special heat tool looks like a wooden or a hobby soldering iron. The tool uses a crystal temperature lower than the soldering iron or wood stove. The only drawback is that if you want to use the crystals in addition, they must be non-heat-set, and then they must be put on the spit if they are to be used again. When properly installed, crystals patch are supposed to be machine washable and dry cleaned ... but I prefer handwashing anything embellished. For all crystals with holes in them, sew them in kind, using a polyester yarn long as basic Mettler or Gutterman trademark of the sting. sew securely lined with wire and look forward to building on the wrong side. Hand wash with anything to sew on crystals. The guy has a rhinestone website for pin assemblies, flat silver crystal, crystal patch, and tools. http://www.rhinestoneguy.com/-je use a tool called the Bejewler Pro for my business. It is a easy to hold a pencil. Its one site Creative Crystal http://www.creativecrystal.com/BeJeweler-electric-rhinestone-applicators-s/1.htm I think these are also available to buy Michael a lot of my crystals in bulk from a Canadian source, pearl of the North: Heres their page crystal scroll for links to the flat back silver and crystal hot fix. http://northernbead.com/swarovski/index.htm They also sell tools, sets of branches and glue jewel. And it's a quick intro of crystals on clothes!
