My wife received some art objects from an inheritance?
Her Uncle was an art dealer so I know they are authentic. One is a small Egyptian statue, the next is a small portrait of a man painted on wood not canvas. a hand carved wooden statue of an angel covered with gold leaf. A very large gold ring with a secret compartment that has a verse from the Koran on it. About 6 meisen plates that are very old. I have tried taking them to the local museum and the College by our house but no one seems to know anything.
It sounds cheesy, but the best place to look for objects/prices is ebay. It's the going rate for everything. Be mindful, that some things are fake. However it is the auction house of the world these days.
